I'm not dead set on any names at this stage (and wouldn't want to get serious about picking a name until I knew for sure I was pregnant), but there are a few general trends I like. Probably due to my own name (Amy), I tend to like "A" names, as well as names with a y (not a tryndyee y, but names in which the classic spelling has a y). Alyssa, Alyson, and Ayla are some of my favorites. Honestly, I don't know what to do if I end up having a boy, because I don't like about 99% of traditionally-male names out there....

Am I the only one who likes coming up with matching names for twins or siblings? I mainly do so more for literary purposes, and I doubt I would use these combinations for actual twins, as they would be too dramatic and in some cases, sickeningly cute, but it is fun to imagine:

I have a twin brother, and my mother named us Amy and Andrew. Growing up, she would make us matching clothes. They were actually quite adorable, and not in a cheesy way!

I honestly love when people refer to us haha. "Amy and Andrew" has a nice ring to it! Especially with mine being first ;)

Now that I've been away at college for a few years, I've begun to miss it!

I'm a twin . My name is Jacara and my sister's name is Jacorey. I like matchup names but I know some people are against it. My sister has chosen to have all her kids names start with C or K. She only has two so far but she's sticking to it. My mom had all our names start with Js. I won't do that. Whatever name feels right is what I'm going to do :)

This has been my hobby since I was about 8 years old!

Girls:

Finvarra (Fin or Finna for short)

Shiloh

Winnie (short for either Winnipeg or Quinn)

Andreva

Rory

Demetria

Boys:

Asa

Lukah (Luie, Luke)

Aeneas

Addie (short for Addissen)

Harry (short for Henry)

I think it's interesting how the people on this forum by in large chose rather similar sounding names, and frequently not ones that fit with today's naming fads...
