Facial Hair

66 posts in this topic

Bahahaha! I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to keep up with the forums, so I just now read these responses and they're really entertaining! I also realized I never gave my opinion. I suppose, in a perfect world, I'd prefer no facial hair. I tend to think most guys look way better without-- but mostly, I don't like not being able to 'see' my guy's face, so to speak. I don't know if that makes sense or if I need to explain more, but I guess I feel like I can see more personality and expressiveness in the face of a clean shaven guy. Plus... I have sensitive skin on my face and, yeah, all that wiry hair really hurts, lol. At the end of the day, though, facial hair is not a deal breaker for me. I think there are some guys out there who look better with a bit of scruff or a goatee... but if I'm honest, I'd have to say that it's somewhat of a subconscious deterrent for me on guys who would look better clean-shaven.

ew. no hair! ANYWHERE Claire. I don't like hair Claire on me or him!...well he can have a little but no facial hair there is nothing like a clean shaven man and like when you run your hands across his face and you can feel where his hair is growing out just a teeny-bit it's so sexy! :P A tad bit of chest hair is okay. Only if he feels he has to absolutely have hair but I don't like hair at all-only hair on eyelashes, eyebrows, and head nowhere else!

LOL!

I thought I would share this story: I had a professor in college (who used to be a former Southeast Asian Buddhist monk) talk about his adventures in Southeast Asia. Well one of the requirements as a monk is rid yourself of any noticeable hair on your head. This includes shaving off any facial hair, eyebrows, and hair atop the head. He distinctly remembers how one monk grabbed a machete, and in seconds "swish-swish" his eyebrows were gone. However, after a day or two, he soon realized why eyebrows are an important part of the human body - as a deterrent against any dirt or liquid(like rain) from getting into your eyes.

So, it appears that eyebrows are meant for something, :).

Ooh no Chris...I know that sets you apart from "pretty boys" but if you EVER want a gf, you CANNOT let back hair show out of the back of your shirt ay the collar!!! All girls on here will back me up on that--seriously!! If you go swimming wow better have that back taken care of!!! You can get away with the chest....I am only trying.to help you out as a girl!

I back that statement up 110%

I can't be attracted to a guy with facial hair unless I am attracted to his personality. This may stem from the fact that my father has always had a beard. Once it was super duper long but when I was three or so he cut it pretty short. But yeah, if I like a guy, facial hair isn't going to keep me away unless it is a legit beard (NEVER attractive to me.)

I like the whole "shadow" on a guy, where he's shaved and its just starting to come back. Leaving this "shadow of facial hair" Thats pretty sexy on a guy. Other than that, i don't have a preference, other than kissing someone whose face is prickly, Not lovely. So i think it either has to be a whole style he's rocking so its past the painful prickly bit, or shaven. :)

I can;t belive I havent replied to this thread yet! I LOVE facial hair. I tend to be attracted to guys with them than those who don't, hence why I tend not to like guys in high school -____- haha! He has to have at least a little scruff. Though mustaches and goatees are annoying. for some reason, why waste hair growing power?

In my opinion, some guys look better with facial hair, and others look better clean-shaven. Trial and error is the best approach in my opinion. But for the purposes of kissing, if a guy is going to have facial hair, I prefer it to be past the prickly stage. Making out with a cactus is not fun, and pash rash can be embarrassing.

Recently, I've had a thing for guys with a little scruff but it does depend on the guy and what he can pull off. One thing that I have not ever liked was just a mustache. It reminds me of an 80s porno. Sorry for being so blunt. lol

I sometimes debate if ill shave my facial hair. I have a full goatee and i hair goes down to my shoulders. For the most part, girls seem to like it, but i dont like the idea of it becoming a deal breaker. I have trouble maintaining it because it grows a different speeds on each side of my face. In the girls opinion. Is it better to keep in short and maintain until i find a girl who prefers it, or keep it as is?

i know i am a guy, but i agree with dodge dude, i have a full beard for about 8 months of the year, then the rest its clean shaven, i personaly look better with it, all the girls i have date(cept one) have loved my facial hair, i keep it nice and soft,(little prickly) and wash it while washin my hair, so ya just sayin beards are great(not on a women)

I actually prefer facial hair it tends to make men look more manly and it just looks yummy. Sometimes it cant be uncomfortable and prickly but if its cut right there should be no problem.

I like it when its light and low

And then when guys get older and have grey facial with a olive-darker complexion man thats just soo yummy.

I understand why the women prefer men who are bare.  Especially when the men prefer women who are!!

On the other hand, I don't mind hair on a man at all!  A hairy man is a manly man to me.

A question I would like to ask.. why do most woman don't like facial hair?  I personally love my stubble or 5'o clock shadow.. But is it when the man kiss his wife that his beard scratch / itch her?  Like we men say... the beard is our pride :D  right men?  give me an AMEN! or a "like" in other words :P

amen to that Eugene. I like a bit of stubble and some woman told me I am one of those few guys that look great with it. I am a bit proud sometimes with it maybe ;) Especially since it has this unusual beard colour. It comes out as veeeeery light blonde.

This is going to depend on the guy.

I love bald heads, Naturally or not! I think they are just incredibly sexy!

If he is AA I prefer a clean shaven face but well groomed facial hair is good too (like Singer Joe Thomas).

If he is caucasian I prefer him to clean shaven, period.

I'm with @Sally on the back hair!

Keep in mind these are just preferences....

Most of the men that have been in my life since birth have had facial hair. It's kinda something that I look for in a guy because I'm just to it. I'm not all about the looks but if the boy has dark facial hair, he will more than likely catch my eye instantly. So my short answer is: I like it a lot!

Okay so get this. There is like this in between length where if its smooth shaven it feels nice, but if its just barely coming in it scratches your lips!!! If its grown out a little then it's nice and soft and that's the length I like is the scruff stuff. It all depends on the face really cuz some guys can pull off longer hair and some can't. But I wouldn't date a guy with like a full on beard no offense to anyone.

well since i think i am one of the few men here with a beard, ill throw my two cents in, now ladies i have a saying for guns its called you can have it when you take it from my cold dead hands, and the same is with my beard, you will have to drug me, tie me down and shave it yourself, i keep it nice and trimmed, but by no means am i going beardless haha
