Dream Place for Honeymoon

24 posts in this topic

Since we've done dream date, our personalities, our boundaries, and all other sorts of preferences, I thought it would be interesting to see where everyone wants to go on their honeymoon someday!! My parents advised my sister and I to go somewhere we don't think we'll get to go again. I've been to Hawaii, but I'd like to go either there again or Jamaica :D

I would love to go to Hawaii, but only if my wife were okay with that.

The biggest thing though is that I alone would want to plan the honeymoon... and surprise my wife :-). Of course, before the wedding, we would sit down and talk about certain destination areas that she would like or not like, but after that I would plan it and would wanna surprise her. I figure for the wedding night we would stay at some place local, for a day or two, and during the wedding night I could reveal to her where we were going, maybe giving her a booklet of the resort... all as we sip champagne ;-)

Wow! That's pretty cool TG! NEver thought of doing that--haha....Im too practical though...what about planning with money and such? She'd just add to the trip without knowing what you two are doing? haha. That's definitly romanitc though, if my future husband did that for me, I'd be really ahppy as long as it's one of a few places I've wanted to go or some place similar. (Tropical, lots to do, etc.)

hmmm this is a good question Sally!

I've always wanted to stay in a log cabin with woods and forest trees and a lake-anything with lots of nature makes me happy♥

As long as there is a beach and lots of outdoor activities, I'd be content :)

ThatGuy: That sounds so sweet--such a great idea that any girl would love! And this is coming from someone who doesn't like surprises lol Where did you come up with that?!

Dream honeymoon...goodness I've honestly never thought about it lol. Probably Hawaii or something like that. Always wanted to go there...or Aruba I've heard that's pretty cool! Really anywhere other than Indiana haha (I love the state but rarely get to leave it  )

Glad to see there are still a few guys out there that are still romantic B)

Ditto! (And to think, in the tri-state area, I'm shocked/pleasantly suprised, once again...just kidding ;)

Hmm...I'd have to say Mexico! I went on a cruise with a buddy of mine and his family 2 years ago and we went to Cozumel (sp?) and Calica, Mexico and had so much fun! Went to different bars on the beaches, rode scooters through town (very fun but also a tad scary haha), swam in the ocean, etc. It was awesome and I really liked the cruise atmosphere too...always something to do or go see...and there was a casino on the ship! Haha B) How about you?

I'm thinking someplace tropical like Hawaii, Thailand, or Guam or something. Maybe even someplace like New Zealand or Australia. Maybe even someplace in mainland US. I don't think it matters where it is as long as it's fun and romantic.

I'm addicted to all things cute so I have thought about having a Disneyland honeymoon. That would be wonderful^^

Cruises also sound fun. Omg I would love that.

Being a "Disnerd", that sounds amazing! Wish I had thought of it first!

I could definitely go for Hawaii, but if my spouse was up for something different, I would totally go for a log cabin in Montana during ski season. Not like a little cabin. I want one of those big, million-dollar mountain homes with huge bay windows and spectacular views, all to ourselves.

And maybe I could rent a Ferrari and enjoy the lack of speed limits while we're there.

Nice pictures Wanderlust. I honestly do not know where my honeymoon will be. Hawaii or the Caribbean does sound promising. But, I would also like to go to Asia (Japan, China, Philippines etc..).

I've always imagined going to someplace like Bora Bora where the water is just that absolutely GORGEOUS color! It seems so quiet and relaxing there. When someone says honeymoon, I think tropical, but now that you guys were talking about having a nice private cabin surrounded with snow that sounds really nice!

Rome!

Europe in general would be OK, too, but Rome is the one place I'd want to honeymoon in.

Someplace quiet and serene. A nice Hotel for the first night, and then go off for a few weeks of sex, champagne and steak.

I think, if I could choose anywhere without money being too much of a problem, I'd choose Venice. I want to ride in a Gondola under the Bridge of Sighs at Sunset. Or London. Financing considered, something simple. A road trip, with a somewhat nice hotel for a few nights, or a camping trip (even though I'm not much on camping it could be fun). Or maybe a whirlwind trip to NYC. I've been there, but I love it and there's so much to do.

I would love a honeymoon that lasts at least 2 weeks.  For the first week, I would like to go somewhere private - log cabin, beach, etc where we can be alone and unwind from all the busyness and stress.  Time to explore our newly married state!  Then for the second week, do a little sightseeing.

I think I would love it if he took care of the arrangements - which is saying a lot for the control freak side of me!
