Acceptance in church?

2 posts in this topic

This question is for the older people who are waiting: How accepted do you feel during church services and as part of your "church family?" Are you included in all church activities? Is the gift of singleness, celibacy, chastity ever discussed? How often are you asked to help with the youth/singles department and give them guidance? Or, is your church mostly family oriented and not even aware of your existence or your needs?

here in Mexico I do work with the youth, which in some ways I feel out of sync with them just for being in a different place than them in life and stuff but they are an awesome group of kids, and several of them often tell me I am an example to them.

However there are almost entirely families in the church----no singles my age to speak of---except for the youth pastor that is seriously dating someone---so sometimes that can be hard. Like Mothers day was kind of hard because I realized every woman in the church (not including youth or children) was up front, But I was just sitting there. (It reminded me that no I don't have a husband or kids) I just have to keep being faithful as a single doing what I am called to do.
